Soothing stones: calm and balance

Amethyst, lapis lazuli, rock crystal, and green jade are traditionally considered soothing stones, associated with calm and balance. They are worn to slow down when thoughts are racing, or to maintain a bit of serenity during busy days.

Amethyst is a bright purple quartz. Lapis lazuli, a deep blue, is sometimes flecked with gold. Rock crystal is as transparent as water, and green jade is among the oldest stones worn as jewelry.
